Now booking: keynotes, workshops, and AI advisory engagements for Q4 2026 → start the conversation

Community

Detroit is a tech town. Pass it on.

Everything I know, somebody showed me. The community work is how I pay that back: organizing meetups in Detroit, helping shape an open standard for conversation data, and writing things down so the next builder gets there faster.

Detroit TechWatch

Co-organizer

Detroit TechWatch brings Detroit-area engineers, founders, and builders together to share what they're actually working on. I co-organize because this city's tech community deserves the same energy as the coasts, and because the best ideas I've ever stolen came from a meetup, not a keynote. If you're building something in southeast Michigan, come find us.

vCon Foundation

Charter member

vCons are an open standard for conversation data: think of them as the PDF for conversations. I'm a charter member of the Foundation and a regular on the vCon conference circuit. I've been at every event Jeff Pulver has run, talking about what happens when you treat conversations as portable, structured data instead of exhaust.

AI Bytes

Author

My newsletter for people who want to build with AI rather than read think pieces about it. Real systems, real failures, real costs, and the occasional strong opinion about where this is all heading.

Writing and video

Medium, YouTube, podcast guesting

Long-form essays on Medium, video on YouTube, and the full archive of the Artificial Antics podcast. These days my podcast energy goes into guesting: Telecom Reseller, The Barefoot Dev, and wherever else a good conversation about shipping AI is happening.
